A1 Casper is proud to sponsor the Sunshine Foundation : Dreams for Kids Car Program.

Our program gives vehicle owners an opportunity to donate their vehicle to help fulfill the dreams of children with severe disabilities and/or life-threatening illnesses.

It is very easy. Vehicle owners can call us at 604.690.7555. We will take your information and arrange a time to pick up your vehicle. You receive a tax receipt for your vehicle and we tow it away, free of charge.

The Sunshine Foundation has been in operation for 20 years and is solely Canadian. It has volunteer chapters right across Canada. Since 1987, more than 6,400 dreams have been fulfilled. Currently, there are more than 150 children waiting to have their dream fulfilled. The lives of these children can involve endless doctor's appointments, therapy and sometimes painful medical treatments. Having a dream come true allows these kids to escape the challenges they face, even if it's just for a little while.

We at A1 Casper know firsthand the daily challenges that face the families of children with severe disabilities. We have been touched by the Sunshine Foundation on a personal level. One of our children has cerebral palsy, and we have gone through the endless therapy, doctor appointments, hospital stays and operations. Thanks to Sunshine, our daughter was able to go on a Dreamlift to Disneyland when she was younger. She still remembers that day!

The Sunshine Foundation does two things for these children:

1. DreamLifts . These one-day, whirlwind adventures fly approximately 80 children to exciting destinations like West Edmonton Mall, Walt Disney World in Florida or Disneyland in California. Medical volunteers accompany the children to ensure that their health needs are addressed and Sunshine volunteers fill the role of "buddy" to provide support and companionship throughout the day. It's a day of fun and excitement, a chance to just be a child having fun!

2. Individual Dreams - Children can write to the Sunshine Foundation with their dream request. The dreams are as unique as the child who dreams them. They range from meeting a favourite celebrity sports hero or entertainer, taking a family vacation, or getting a customized bicycle or computer to make life easier.
